Inference 101

1. I wouldn't eat after that two-year-old if I were you.
Inference: The two-year-old probably did something gross to the food you were
about to eat, or has a cold and you could catch it. Something bad will
happen to you if you eat it because he "I wouldn't" sounds like a
warning!

2. For Valentine’s Day, my fantastic neighbor gave his wife a poem that took him
about two seconds to write. Sheesh.

Inference: My neighbor is not very considerate since he didn't take his time
writing the poem, the text clue that led me to this decision was the
"Sheesh". People usually say "Sheesh" when they are annoyed or
frustrated.

3. A man ran after a retreating bus, waving his briefcase frantically.
Inference:The mans car probably got stolen and he was trying to run and get it or
try to get peoples attention to stop the car.

4. If she died, I wouldn’t go to her funeral.
Inference:The person who said this was that she didn't like the person who died  or that
they were not really good friends.
5. Jake almost wished that he hadn’t listened to the radio. He went to the closet
and grabbed his umbrella even though he would feel silly carrying it to the bus
stop on such a sunny morning.
Inference: Jake doesn't like to listen to his own thoughts he just listens to what the
radio says the weather is gonna be like.

6. Hey! What happened to all the school construction money taken from the
taxpayers? It paid for this toilet the money was flushed down.

Inference: somebody took the money that was going to the building of the school and all the money
was wasted.

7. As you give a speech in front of a large audience, you realize that people are
laughing behind their hands and pointing to the region below your waist.

Inference: that the person maybee forgot to wear something that they were suppose to
or they are laughing at a mistake the person maybe

8. No, Honey, I don’t want you to spend a lot of money on my birthday present. Just
having you for a husband is the only gift I need. In fact, I’ll just drive my
old rusty bucket of bolts down to the mall and buy myself a little present. And
if the poor old car doesn't break down, I’ll be back soon.

Inference: The wife didn't want her husband to spend alot of money on her present
but she wanted one so she said she would go get herself a little present.

9. A woman walks into a hospital clutching her abdomen and cursing out her husband,
who trails behind her carrying a large bag.

Inference: That the lady's water broke and she is having her baby while her husband is carrying her
bags into the hospital.

10. You're driving on the highway, listening to the radio, and a police officer
pulls you over.
Inference: You were probably speeding  while we were listening to your music.

My inference :I think this little girl is very sad about somthing that happend to her or how she is living is making her sad.

my inferince: The person has been working very hard on their work and is try to focus on gettint it done.

The Montreal Massacre

The Montreal Massacre is a shooting that happened at .There was a man walking the hallways saying " I want women". So he walked into this engineering class and separated the boys and girls. Then he told all the boys to leave the room .then he shot all 14 girls.The shotters name is Marc Lépine.

What I discovered about the  Montreal  Massacre was that there was one out of the fourteen that survived her name is Natalie Croteau.She had to have surgery on her leg because that is where she got shot and the she watched her friends funeral.when a reported was on the phone with her she said it was really hard to wacth it .the shooter killed the girls with a rifle.


The effects on the Massacre was it was a really sad day for the parents and friends of the people who died . It was also sad for the dad who was the one who found his daughter . For some people on the anniversary of this date is the 6th of december so for some people its a really sad day.The steps that need to be taken to adress on  the issue of violence is that people need to learn that killing people dosn't do them any good it just puts a really hard life on you and the family of the person you killed.

Julius Caesar

Julius Caesar was written by William Shakespeare. Julius was one of the most popular people in Rome. Then there was a guy called Brutus who really wanted to be king of Rome. so he got his brother Cassius and a bunch of other people to kill him. So what they did was they tricked him to going to a place called the  Capitol. .What Julius thought was going to happen was he was going to be crowned king of Rome but then he ended up getting killed.After he got killed one of his servants named Antony. He walked in after Julius was killed . when Brutus was talking to the towns people Antony carried his body out and convinced the towns people that Brutus and Cassius were to be killed.

The play that we went to go see on Julius Caesar was great. Some of the people spoke their lines clearly and others not. The actors did a really good job making the costumes and making the back rounds . There is one thing  I'm going to say about the play some people didn't say their lines very clearly so it was very hard to understand so maybe they should try spake more slowly . The things that i liked about the play was that they added a modern twist to the play. The other thing was that they were really organised with everything.Heres a picture of the cast from calvin park

The Maze Runner

Our class is reading a book called the Maze Runner.this book is about this group of boys that are living in a place where they don't know anything but their name then there are these things out in the maze called the grivers. When you get stung by one of them you go into something called the"changing" .In the chaning is when you do alot of crazy things. The main characters name is Thomas.He cant remember anything but his name.When he comes out of a thing called the box(that's what everyone comes out of) he sees a whole bunch of boys staring at him.when he finally gets out box he starts to ask a whole bunch of questions like "where am I".The leader of the biys right now is a guy named Alby.He tells the boys what to do and everthing.The book Is written that it sounds like Thomas has been there for a few weeks but he has only really been there for a few days.I  would highly recomend this book to alot of people who have alot of spare time in their life or when you just wanna sit down a read a good book.

The Shape Of A Girl

On November 22 my class . the grade 7's and the 5/6 class went to see a play called "The Shape Of A Girl".I Thought that it was a great play because the girl that played Braide mad IT a monologue. The part that I found really confusing was when she was walking on the beach and when it looked like she was talking to herself the whole time. I really like the part when she was being every person in the play just by herself.now I'm going to show you a picture of the person who played Braide.

Digital Book Club

My class has started a special rotation on language things and one center is a book club . All 6 groups that we have have a book to read . Noe I'm going to tell u about my groups book and what its about comment below with any questions you have. my book is called "Feed" by M.T. Anderson.this book is about people just like us who have microchips in there head. The name they call it is the Feed. The feed is like an Internet
in the head telling you about where all the sales are at all the store.Here's  a picture of the book.now here are my questions . Is this in futer tense? . My second question is why is his name Titus?

Types of Leads

have you ever seen a abandoned  school house that glows.well I have have this Is a picture of what it looks like.If you ever find one then you should take a picture of it because looks of people would love to see things like this. Some times if u have to make a poster for Halloween then this will be very cool for a picture of one

Meet Somebody From Space

 Today my class got to go over to Q.E.C.V.I. and  see an astronaut talk about being in space. It was a great experience. He had  two slide shows and two videos and I loved them all. He showed allot of pictures of the stars in space, he showed what the earth looks like out in space. In the videos he showed us what it looks like when a space ship takes off, I loved seeing all the smoke coming from under the space ship. After he was done showing the last video there was a question and answer time and there were allot of very neat questions.  My friends and I went to ask if he could moon walk and he said no, then one of his sons said he cant juggle ether . I found that really funny . I learned allot of neat things about space and what its like to be out in space from a real person in space. The astronaut in the picture is the astronaut that came to Q.E.C.V.I. Then I added a picture of the Hubble telescope.

Being a Student

Being a student can have its ups and downs.  there are also its pros and cons .Here are some pros about being a student.One good thing about being a student is that you can make new friends and learn alot of things about them .When I came to my school I couldnt wait to make new friend. Another pro is that you can learn lots of new things. When i was in grade 7 I learnd alot of new things about New France.Now Im going to tell you about the cons. One con is you can have alot of homework. I have alot of homework.Another con is your teacher can be very mean so what i do to make my teacher not be mean is to be very good and get on her good side. These are the pros and cons of being a student.

Corn Maze

  On October 25  my class went on  a field trip to the corn maze . My group was a group of my best friend . we were group 2. Our group was the very firt group to finish.We had walkie talkies to stay connected with the owner and the other groups that were in the maze. We had alot of fun. we had a great wagon  ride there and back thanks to whites but then the grade 5s startd to be very annoying.the best part about our trip to the corn maze
was that i got to spend some time with all my friends and we got to see really cute cats.
